Let's make a Postpartum Plan!

Although the first weeks after baby arrives are some of the sweetest and most exciting of your life, it can also be a time of transition, navigating new emotions, and feeling unsure. This is a period of continuous learning for the whole family. As your postpartum doula I will help you navigate the ups and downs of this sometimes difficult but special time with your new baby. Postpartum services may include emotional and physical support for all family members. I also provide education, answers to questions, and support for the family, home, and whatever needs may arise.

  • Offer emotional support through this new transition into parenthood

  • Breastfeeding support including pumping support

  • Newborn care education including help with things such as bathing, diapering, swaddling, baby-wearing, bottle feeding, etc.

  • Support with self-care including helping family obtain rest, optimal nutrition, and other things as needed during the recovery period.

  • Light housework including laundry, meal prepping, running errands, baby care, sibling care, etc. 

  • Suggesting referrals and giving resources when needed

  • Sleep support for newborns and parents. My job is to maximize sleep for all family members.

  • Feeding baby throughout the night, and/or bringing baby to mom for feedings

  • Helping newborn establish good sleep habits by swaddling, soothing, changing, evaluating needs throughout the night. 

  • Washing bottles and/or pump parts 

  • Daytime services available based on postpartum persons needs.
